Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Krista Joy Niles positively loves capturing the unique beauty of every-day life, holding those moments forever suspended in photographs.
Krista’s vibrant style infuses her affection for modern art and her infatuation with nostalgia. She enjoys working with her subjects to create fun and relaxed photography sessions that produce dynamic images. Krista specializes in portraiture and special event photography.
With over 17 years experience as a photographer, Krista has worked for The New York Times, The Associated Press, The Lincoln Journal-Star, The San Antonio Express-News and many media orgazniations. She studied photojournalism at San Francisco State University and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she studied Art History. She was the primary still photographer for the public art project, The Invisible City, in which writers, poets, dancers and filmmakers explored and created art in response to public spaces in downtown Tucson.
Her first solo photography book, Still My Heart, will be released in Spring 2010. The 2010 nJoy Studios calendar is now available for sale.
